I get what everyone's saying about how it means she accepts the "worst" parts of him too etc etc, but it just gets really fucking annoying sometimes, because NO ONE else on the show has gone through as much shit as Damon has to "earn" his redemption. ALL I needed was an apology from Elena and we didn't get that, but I guess it is what it is. Sigh

Oh it’s cool to see that I’m not alone XD Yeah a simple apology for this season, for all the times she broke his heart before? The times she manipulated him using his friendship and his love??? Damon is sure as hell no saint, I’ve never denied that. But he did his journey of redption, he made a lot of wrong things and he tried to made up for them becoming a better man, he apologized and he admitted all his mistakes… Why can’t she do the same just one time??? To me love means being equals, and with them is always like she is the better one and she keeps reminding him of that. I wonder how the fandom would’ve reacted if Damon has said something like “You were a total bitch to me in these last weeks, but I love you all the same”… Surely he would’ve been just hated… Double standards all around….

Yes, yes, I know the opinion of the fandom. But to me it always seems like she remembers him only being the bad guy when he was the good one, too. And again, the same concept in s2 finale was expressed with more kindness. And why she has to be sorry to love him in the first place???? Everyone did bad things in the gang, Elena in primis, trying to kill all her 3 bff… Should them be sorry to love her as a friend as well? I ser double standards as always when it comes to Damon… I’m surely overprotective towards him, but oh well, that’s what I feel.

I just understood that Stefan is Silas doppelganger, as Kath and Elena were Tatia’s… Guess they’ll explain everything better in next season, why doppelgangers exist, how they born ecc ecc…
